Montague Selectboard Implements Indoor Mask Requirement
Effective Sept 28 in Town buildings. Effective October 4 in other buildings serving the public.
September 27th - Acting upon recommendation of the Board of Health, the Selectboard voted unanimously to re-implement the Town’s previous indoor mask policy for town buildings, effective immediately. This order requires that all visitors wear masks when entering any Town building and that all staff wear masks at any time they engage the public or cannot socially distance from one another.
The Selectboard also voted to implement a town-wide mask requirement for indoor spaces to which public entry is allowed. For example, supermarkets, restaurants, professional services offices, and retail stores. As voted, this requirement is not intended to affect private or non-municipal public workplaces that are not open to the public. This order is effective beginning Monday, October 4th.
