Professional Services for Principal Investigator for the 1676 Battle of Great Falls Site Evaluation and Identification Project Phase II

The Town of Montague, through its Select Board is seeking proposals from a consulting firm, practice, or individual with demonstrated expertise in the colonial contact period history and archeology of the Connecticut River Valley to complete the second phase of a site identification and evaluation project for the 1676 battle at Great Falls. The proposal must include the services of an archeologist and military historian who meet the Professional Standards of the National Park Service (NPS) and have specific research experience in King Philip’s War. The project is funded by the American Battlefield Protection Program of the NPS and therefore will be required to meet and follow the NPS Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. The RFP is available at montague-ma.gov or at Montague Town Hall. Proposals must be received by 5:30 p.m on January 14, 2019 at the Montague Town Hall, 1 Avenue A, Turners Falls, Massachusetts 01376.
