Our Mission
To protect the health of the public and protect the environment by producing from sanitary and industrial sewage a clean effluent which flows to the Connecticut River. To do so safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
Facility Overview
The facility treats domestic, commercial & residential waste from the villages of Turners Falls, Montague City, Montague Center and Lake Pleasant.
For issues involving the Town sanitary sewer collection system contact the Town Highway Department at 413-863-2054.
The WPCF is responsible for the operations of the Treatment Facility, Pump Stations (8) & Pump Station force mains.
Sewer abatement requests can be made to the Town Hall Selectboard office or to the WPCF. Be advised that a request must be submitted within 30 days of the bill date per Massachusetts General Law.
The WPCF & water districts are seperate departments. The water districts provide water use readings to the Town Hall & WPCF for generation of the fiscal year sewer use bills. Click here for the Water Department home page.
