All dogs six months of age and older must be licensed by the Town Clerk. Licensing your dog is an annual obligation.
 Evidence of a current rabies vaccination must be provided and or a spayed/neutered certificate from your veterinarian.
Fees: $10.00 for males and females intact and $5.00 for neutered males and spayed females.
Dog licenses are valid from April 1st to March 31st of the following year. A late fee of $20.00 will be added after May 31st.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS FOR DOG "RENEWALS" ONLY.
Online registration must meet these following guidelines:
1. Your dog was registered in Montague last year.
2. Your dog's rabies vaccination that was used for last year's registration has not expired.
Online licensing fees include $1.00 for each license processed and mailed.

OTHER RENEWALS: If your dog has had an updated rabies vaccination since dog registration last year, please click here to download the mail-in form with new rabies information for previously registered dogs or come into the town clerks office as your dog cannot be registered without the new rabies certificate from your veterinarian
NEW DOG REGISTRATION: click here for a mail in form, or register your new dog in person at the Town Clerk's office. A current rabies certificate and proof of spaying/neutering must be submitted at the time of licensing.

Notify the Town Clerk's Office if your dog passes away or if you give up custody of your dog. This will keep you off the delinquent dog owner list; otherwise it is assumed that you are still a dog owner. Please call 863-3200, extension 203.
